I had promised I would do a thread on Tarot cards. After much consideration, I have decided I will only do this if the membership really does want it, as this is a very dangerous practice, and not one for children or those of questionable mental capacitys. So I will leave this up to vote.

I own three sets of cards and advise against using Crowleys set, unless you are an advanced practitioner, as it is truly a unique, to put it one way, set of divination cards.

lol....yes he did!

My concern is teenagers finding this thread and practicing it.

I believe in inner power and I am very glad I stopped practicing this so long ago, as I believe it opens you up to outside forces.

But i have an excellent old book on the subject, and did practice it once.

So if it is something members want, I will post how to practice this.

Do you own a set, or do you want to know how to make your own?

well not much interest in the occult here, and i didn't even open up the diary yet...lol

it seems some came here thinking i would show them the knowledge of the left hand path and that was it.

oh well, i guess the problem that is the foundation of masonry or sacred geometry would be of no interest either, but then 90% of Masons know not what the foundation is, so i guess i was expecting too much.

i'll just concentrate on the left hand path knowledge from now on.

well one thing i could show you is the problem that is called by some...the problem that is the foundation of FreeMasonry..

[euclid]This simple illustration is easily recognizable in Freemasonry as an illustrated proof of the Pythagorean Theorem, better known in Masonry as the 47th problem of Euclid. (It is so named because it was number forty-seven in a collection of geometrical problems produced by the Alexandrian mathematician Euclid) This ubiquitous emblem is found on badges and jewels, lodge decorations and more, and has been associated with Masonry for hundreds of years.

(Most of us are familiar with the theorem from high school: “In any right triangle, the square of the length of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the lengths of the sides.” The theorem is the basis of Trigonometry.)

The 47th problem has been referred to as “the foundation of Freemasonry.” Why one of many possible solutions to a particular geometrical problem should become emblematic of Freemasonry probably has more to it the long standing tradition of Sacred Geometry, but the importance of the symbol is largely unknown.

One possibility might be found in Egypt- the historian Plutarch notes that the triangle is emblematic of the Egyptian trinity of Osiris, Isis, and Horus. The symbol has sometimes referred to as “the bride’s chair,” referring to its resemblance to the Mystical Throne of Isis.

Noted kabbalist Alan Bennet speculated that the three squares represented the magical squares of Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars. Masonic author Albert Pike, in his Morals and Dogma repeats Plutarch’s comments and suggests that the triangle represents matter (Isis), spirit (Osiris), and the union of the two (Horus)…and indeed, the sum of the two smaller squares equals the larger.

Second sight has been recorded in medical journals from such noted places as Harvard medical school.

The ability is one I had always prized.

With Tarot cards, you open a doorway to grasp this ability. To be able to foresee your future, events and happenings along your life's path. The desire to do this is strong in today's world. Just look in any newspaper and in one of the sections you will find horoscopes. They continue to post these, because of the popularity with readers, who whether they admit it or not, are seeking second sight.

But why do they trust, that the writer of these horoscopes know what they are talking about?

Andy..I still believe with proper application of your third eye, you gain second sight, which is far more powerful than anything tarot cards can offer.

After seeing what I showed you in that message, you probably realize how much more prominent tarot cards and their discussion is within our circles.

But those who doubt the power and the wisdom of the other part mention, is why many within a similar circle as us, are so sad in their personal life.

Do you guys really think you can open some sort of portal by doing rituals with tarot cards? Like, where some negative energy/spirit would come through and make a mess out of your life?

I use tarot as a mnemonic device in conjunction with the Kabbalah and feel that fortune telling with them is a somewhat bastardized, although not entirely merit-less, usage.  People who are interested in tarot or anything magical for the purposes of worldly advantage are barking up the wrong Tree of Life.

The true value comes from Tarot/ Kabbalah's ability to accelerate the maturation & evolution of your personality so that your subconscious starts building itself to become a Chariot for God.  That is where you can find real power that lasts between incarnations instead of using it as a crutch to anticipate something materialistic and ephemeral.
