Hawkes Bay Black Power members on trial for attacking rival gang members

New Zealand - Three members of Hawke's Bay Black Power chapter are on trial in the High Court in Napier for allegedly attacking a member of the Outlaws Motorcycle gang.
Mundy Adams, Douglas Kamaru and Aaron Macdonald are alleged to have assaulted Peter Louis in February last year.
John Adams, Mundy Adams' brother, is also on trial for allegedly perverting the course of justice.
The jury of eight women and four men have just heard the opening address from Crown prosecutor Jo Rielly.
On the day of the incident the accused are alleged to have confronted an associate of Peter Louis's in relation to the murder of a Black Power member in 1993.
When he arrived the pair decided to drive off but were followed by the accused.
It's alleged the accused then rammed Mr Louis' car off a suburban road and assaulted him with an iron bar in front of members of the public
